Being on a beach in Summertime is my most favorite places to be and of course paint.
Many many years ago when I was living in San Pedro, Ca. I had a view of the ocean and every Sunday all the colorful sails would come out and flow beautifully in the blue waters.
It was my dream to paint colorful sailboats for many years, until 3 years ago when I found few spots in Connecticut and North fork Long Island that I could set up my easel and make an old dream come true.
Last year As I was painting my sail boats, my inspiring partner suggested to add the colorful umbrellas to the composition. Brilliant idea. so much more fun.
this painting is one of the 3 remaining Boats & Umbrellas. I have enjoyed painting them tremendously and it seems that its time to move on to other themes and bring my other dreams into life.
